He served as Member, District Council Faisalabad during 1997 99; and as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 200207 and functioned as Chairman, Standing Committee on Transport. An agriculturist, who has returned for the next period in general elections to the Punjab Assembly 2013.
