An agriculturist, who acted as Member, City Council during 1983-91 for 2 terms; as Chairman, Market Committee throughout 1990-94; and as Nazim, Union Council No. 27 Bahawalpur City during 2001-02. He remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab throughout 2002-07 as well as 2008-13; as well as worked as Minister for Special Education and Prisons during 2008-13.
